Netflix UK’s 42 arrivals this week split between new originals, returning series and a sizeable Halloween horror selection. The headline release is The One About Matthew Perry, which tracks the actor’s career, advocacy and struggles through accounts from people close to him. Korean supernatural series Dead-End Job and comedy Minimum Wage broaden the new scripted lineup.
Two originals take very different turns
The One About Matthew Perry arrived on October 27. The TV-MA English-language documentary series looks at the life and work of the Friends star, including his outspoken advocacy and addiction struggles, with contributions from his inner circle. Perry, known to millions as Chandler, died after a career lived partly in public; the series’ focus on those who knew him offers a personal frame for that story.

Arriving October 30, Dead-End Job turns financial pressure into a supernatural premise. Lee Jae-wook plays Byeon Hyeok Jun, a debt-ridden man who takes secretive agency work paying 50 times the minimum wage. The assignments grow increasingly strange and dangerous, giving the Korean-language limited series a mix of fantasy, horror and mystery. Han Jun-hee and Kim Da-min direct; Go Min-si and Kim Min-ha also star.

Horror catalog gets a seasonal boost
Halloween viewing gets a major lift from the arrival of the first three Insidious films, along with Annabelle Comes Home, The Conjuring, The Conjuring 2 and The Nun. Netflix also added Warm Bodies, a lighter genre pick. Among other licensed films, Star Trek Beyond brings the Enterprise crew back to the service: Justin Lin’s 2016 film strands Captain Kirk and his crew after an enemy destroys their ship.

42 additions span originals and returning series
The week’s 26 film arrivals include six Netflix Originals: Spanish titles Collision Course and Day of the Dead: Ofrenda, English-language releases Instadocs: Jane Doe v. Cornell and SCTV: The Greatest Show You’ve Never Heard Of, Arabic drama Obsess and German film The Birthday Gift. The rest range from Malayalam and Tamil releases to older English-language films such as Far and Away, Money Train and Nowhere to Run. Italian drama You, Me, Us also joins the catalog as a Netflix Original.

What UK viewers watched
For the week of October 23–30, Animals topped the film ranking with 72 points, ahead of Surviving Hurricane Otis at 64 and Greenfingers at 54. Nobody Wants This led the series list with 75 points, followed by The New Stanford Prison Experiment on 57 and Below on 50. The One About Matthew Perry placed seventh among series with 30 points, while Minimum Wage reached 12th with 10.
The mix gives subscribers a clear choice: new originals for the week, familiar series to revisit, and a concentrated set of horror films for Halloween.
