The accounts of Chrishell Stause and G Flip’s separation don’t settle on a single cause. One insider described years of arguments, career pressure and clashing expectations; other reports said the relationship ended after G Flip’s romantic feelings changed, with the couple’s life across two continents making a future together difficult. The gap between those explanations matters: the claims come from sources speaking to different outlets, rather than a confirmed account from either former partner.

The couple’s public story had included declarations of love, matching tattoos, international travel and plans to have a family. They held a wedding ceremony in Las Vegas in 2023 that was not legally binding, then renewed their vows in July 2025. Against that backdrop, the competing reports sketch out a relationship that carried real commitment but also practical pressures that public appearances couldn’t resolve.

Career visibility and competing demands

An account published by the Daily Mail linked some of the couple’s reported friction to Stause’s career after she left “Selling Sunset” following nine seasons. The outlet’s source claimed she wanted another prominent reality television role and felt she had earned one, but couldn’t secure it. “She is very ambitious. She wanted to be on a big reality TV show after Selling Sunset, she felt she deserved that, but it didn’t materialize because Hollywood is tricky,” the insider said.

The source also portrayed Stause as increasingly invested in maintaining a high-profile public image, with events, styling and media attention becoming points of tension. “She needed the private car, stylist, red carpet, great photos, gift bag, she fell into the trap. She loved staying in the news,” the insider claimed. These are a source’s characterizations, not independently established facts about Stause’s motives.

A separate eyewitness account from a Snapchat-hosted rooftop party in Beverly Hills described Stause arriving with a large entourage and seeming hard to approach. The witness called the impression “big movie star energy.” The same insider suggested G Flip resented the level of attention Stause expected and wanted more of their partner’s time. “But G Flip has their own career,” the source said, pointing to competing professional demands.

That picture fits a familiar challenge for a couple whose work requires travel and public visibility: time and attention become scarce, and each person’s career can set a different pace. Still, the available accounts don’t establish that Stause’s ambitions caused the separation. Other sources offered a different explanation, centered less on celebrity expectations and more on distance and a shift in romantic feelings.

Arguments, early chemistry and family plans

The Daily Mail source alleged that Stause and G Flip had argued frequently for more than a year and said the conflict wore G Flip down. “They began fighting a lot and it really wore G Flip out. G Flip didn’t like the drama,” the insider claimed. The source also raised their age difference—Stause is 45 and G Flip is 33—as a possible source of insecurity. That interpretation is speculative and comes from the same unnamed account.

The relationship, by that account, began with unusually strong chemistry. Stause and G Flip met at a Halloween party in Los Angeles while both were dressed as skeletons. “They had incredible chemistry right away, which took them both aback,” the source recalled. Their connection developed quickly, with public affection and shared plans becoming defining parts of the relationship’s image.

Having children appeared to be one of those plans. Stause had previously said differing views about starting a family contributed to her breakup with “Selling Sunset” co-star Jason Oppenheim. With G Flip, she seemed to share the goal of becoming a parent. In April 2025, Stause said she was “actively trying” to grow their family. G Flip later described the emotional strain of IVF to PEOPLE, calling the process “really sad” and “very grim” in September 2025.

Those comments give the reported split a personal dimension beyond scheduling or public attention. The pair had spoken openly about pursuing a family, but the source accounts don’t explain how those plans changed after their separation. Nor do they establish that family planning caused the breakup.

Reports differ on how the relationship ended

A report from TMZ presented a different account of the breakup. Sources close to the couple told the outlet that G Flip had stopped feeling romantically in love with Stause and had begun seeing her more as a friend. According to the report, G Flip travelled from Australia to Los Angeles to talk with Stause about the change.

That version described Stause as heartbroken and caught off guard. It also pushed back on claims that demanding behavior or personality clashes had driven the separation, portraying the relationship as good before G Flip’s feelings shifted. The account doesn’t erase the allegations of arguments; it shows that sources have offered different interpretations of what mattered most.

Distance features more centrally in a report from PEOPLE. The outlet reported that G Flip initiated the separation after more than four years together, with an insider describing the couple’s long-distance arrangement as a major strain. They lived on opposite sides of the world, and work and travel meant long flights, weeks apart and a significant time difference.

The source told PEOPLE: “The distance is what really drove the two of them apart.” They said neither person wanted to uproot their life for the other, despite both wanting children and trying to make their non-legal marriage work. The source also said reconciliation hadn’t been ruled out and that the former partners still loved each other. “Chrishell and G Flip still very much love each other and haven’t ruled anything out, as far as reuniting romantically, in the future,” the insider said.

A relationship shaped by constraints

Taken together, the reports describe several pressures rather than a settled explanation. Career ambitions and attention are prominent in one insider’s account; another emphasizes a change in romantic attachment; distance and the choice not to relocate appear in the PEOPLE account. None of those claims should be treated as a definitive statement from Stause or G Flip.

The practical takeaway is that the separation followed a relationship with substantial emotional commitment and plans for a family, while the couple faced work on opposite sides of the world. Whether the distance, changing feelings or accumulated disagreements weighed most heavily remains unclear. For now, the reports leave open the possibility of reconciliation while offering no confirmation that the pair intend to reunite.
