Nobody Wants This has a strong case for continuing, but a fourth season still isn’t official. Season 3 drew 6.2 million views in its first four days, and Netflix has renewed the show quickly before. The catch is that the latest opening is well below the first two seasons, so a renewal may be plausible without being a foregone conclusion.

The romantic comedy follows Joanne, played by Kristen Bell, a sex podcaster, and Noah, played by Adam Brody, a devout rabbi. Erin Foster created the series, which is produced by 3 Arts Entertainment. Its last finale left the couple facing fresh family turmoil after a major blowout and a secret elopement; there’s plenty of room for another chapter, if Netflix orders one.

Netflix has yet to confirm Season 4. The company renewed Season 2 two weeks after the first season premiered, then renewed Season 3 two weeks after Season 2 debuted. Those quick decisions make another announcement soon seem possible, though they don’t guarantee one. The original report points to November 5 as a date to watch.

Season 3 opened with 6.2 million views over four days, ranking in Netflix’s top 10 in 56 countries and reaching No. 1 in 11. It placed second in the weekly chart, behind Below. The release also prompted renewed viewing of the first two seasons, reportedly lifting their viewership by as much as three times.

The opening figures tell a less comfortable story. Season 1 started with 10.3 million views in four days; Season 2 brought in 8.6 million, down 16.5%; Season 3 fell to 6.2 million, a 27.91% drop from Season 2. That’s a 39.81% decline from the first season’s launch. The catalog bump helps the case for the show’s staying power, but the new-season trend is clearly heading downward.

Netflix’s previous renewal announcements were reported by Deadline for Season 2 and Deadline for Season 3.

The available weekly figures show how the earlier seasons accumulated views after launch. Season 1 reached 48.7 million by week six, while Season 2 reached 25.4 million in the reported period. Season 3’s listed total is still its first-week figure of 6.2 million, so the comparison is incomplete.

The source describes the season comparison as opening four-day figures, while the chart metadata calls them opening-week views. Netflix’s weekly totals also use a different window, so those numbers shouldn’t be treated as directly equivalent.

Season 4 renewal status

Official renewal status: Pending (last updated October 22, 2026)

The case for Season 4 rests on Netflix’s fast renewal history and the renewed interest in earlier episodes. The figures also show a substantial fall in launch views across three seasons. It’s not yet clear how Netflix will weigh those signals, or when it will make its decision.

The audience is still there, even as the opening numbers cool

The clearest signal in these figures is the gap between seasons. In its first five weeks, *Nobody Wants This* Season 2 drew 20.6 million fewer views than Season 1. That’s a steep decline. Still, the show has accumulated 81 million views for Season 1 and 34.5 million for Season 2—more than 110 million combined—keeping it among Netflix’s top performing comedies, according to the service’s [engagement data](https://www.whats-on-netflix.com/most-popular/netflix-engagement-report-search/?search=Nobody%2520wants%2520this). | Season | 2024 views | 2025 views | 2026 H1 views | Total hours viewed | Total views | |---|---:|---:|---:|---:|---:| | *Nobody Wants This*: Season 1 | 56,800,000 | 22,000,000 | 2,200,000 | 357,800,000 | 81,000,000 | | *Nobody Wants This*: Season 2 | — | 30,400,000 | 4,100,000 | 152,700,000 | 34,500,000 | The first-week comparison puts Season 3 at 6.2 million views, sixth among nine titles in the chart. *The Four Seasons* Season 1 led with 11.9 million, followed by *Nobody Wants This* Season 1 at 10.3 million and *Running Point* Season 1 at 9.3 million. The chart’s nine titles together recorded 65.6 million opening-week views. Season 3’s debut is weaker than its predecessors, but the show’s accumulated audience makes a single-week ranking an incomplete measure of its staying power.

A fourth season has story to tell, if Netflix wants it

Creator Erin Foster told [Parade](https://parade.com/tv/nobody-wants-this-creator-erin-foster-season-3-ending-wedding-future-interview) there is “more story to tell” if Netflix renews the series. She pointed to the different experience of marrying later in life, while also saying she’d rather leave viewers wanting more than keep a show running after interest fades. That’s a sensible standard; the audience data suggests room for another chapter, but it doesn’t guarantee one. Season 3 leaves plenty unresolved. Joanne and Noah move in together, navigate career changes and Joanne’s Jewish conversion, then get engaged amid interference from Noah’s mother, Bina. Sasha and Esther separate; in the finale, Esther learns Sasha had a one-night stand with Morgan in New York shortly before Esther and Sasha slept together. As the fallout erupts, Joanne and Noah slip away and elope on the beach without telling their families. A fourth season could pick up with the consequences of that impulsive wedding: Bina pushing for a larger celebration, and Joanne and Noah negotiating her public-facing career shift and when to start a family. Morgan may turn her attention from Sasha toward her podcast and a more available partner. Sasha, meanwhile, would have to decide whether to pursue Morgan or seek a fraught reconciliation with Esther. Esther has her real estate career and relationship with Julian to focus on, alongside the breach of trust she has to reckon with. These are possibilities, not confirmed plot details. October 2027 is a reasonable estimate

The first three seasons have arrived on a fairly regular schedule, with Seasons 2 and 3 both premiering in late October. If Netflix renews the show and production begins early in 2027, an October 2027 release would fit that pattern. Neither the renewal nor the production timetable is confirmed, so the date remains a projection. Would you like to see *Nobody Wants This* return for Season 4? Share your view in the comments.
